Donation - So Kids Can

$

As part of their So Kids Can initiative, Capitals players Nicklas Backstrom, Martin Fehervary and Tom Wilson, along with Elliot Segal from the Elliot in the Morning Show, pledge $50 per Capitals win during the regular season and $100 per win during the playoffs each year to a different youth-focused nonprofit organization.

So Kids Can was created in 2008 and to date has donated nearly $650,000 to charity. Past beneficiaries include Fight For Children, Kid Power DC, DC Central Kitchen, Greater Washington Urban League, Heart of America Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC, Martha’s Table and Project Playtime, among others. Former Capitals players Mike Green, Brooks Laich, Karl Alzner, Braden Holtby, and Brenden Dillon all supported So Kids Can during their time with the Caps.
